Q: How long does it take?

A: A head spa treatment takes 30 minutes.

Q: How much is it?

A: It is £30 if you are adding it on to another service you are already having in the salon, or £40 if you are coming in for just the head spa treatment.

Q: Do I leave with wet hair?

A: You can either book in for a blow-dry (at an additional cost) or we can rough dry off after (no charge).

Q: What is included?

A: Your hair will be washed with shampoo specifically chosen for your hair and scalp type, we then use the Moroccanoil scalp scrub to help remove any impurities or build up on the scalp (we do not use the scalp scrub if you have had a colour done on the same day). After this we then apply the hair oil chosen for your scalp type, shampoo again and then a deep conditioning mask is used while you have the relaxing head massage. All throughout the treatment we use the special head spa attachments creating a waterfall effect on your hair for relaxation and a steamer which opens the cuticle and helps the hair absorb the moisture needed. Afterwards we apply the Moroccanoil scalp balancing tonic. There is also the option to use a jade eye mask throughout the treatment if you wish.

Q: Am I in a dark room?

A: No, our head spa treatment takes place in our basin area in our specially adapted basin.

Q: Can I have it done on the same day as my colour?

A: Yes, we can still do the head spa treatment on the same day but we do adapt it slightly and we do not do the scalp scrub.

Q: Can me and my friend come and have it done at the same time?

A: Unfortunately we only have one head spa and so wouldn’t be able to do 2 treatments at the same time.

Q: I have dandruff can I still have the treatment?

A: Yes we can still complete the head spa if you have dandruff. We assess everyone’s hair and scalp before doing a head spa and choose the products based on the individual.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: No, we can do the head spa on any age we just ask that under 16’s are kept accompanied by an adult.

Q: Why have it done in a hair salon?

A: We focus on not just the scalp but also the hair, we ensure all the products used are beneficial for both. We care for your hair – we do not leave you in a tangled mess!

Q: I have extensions can I still have the treatment?

A: Yes, we just adapt the treatment – we will not use the scalp scrub where the extensions are and adapt the pressure and tools we use.

I have always wanted to be in the hairdressing industry, I have always found it fascinating. Hi, I’m Milly and I’ve been at Halo since June 2024.

I’m currently doing my apprenticeship at East Surrey College where I really enjoy learning all the different techniques to do with hairdressing. I first realised I had an interest for hairdressing when I was about 13 years old, I just love it when I’m doing hair, it makes my mind go to a peaceful place.

If I had to pick my favourite parts of hairdressing it would have to be cutting, blow-drying and styling hair up but I also love the social side and meeting new people. My dream for the future would be to own a salon called 4 in 1 when I will have different spaces for people to have their hair, lashes, brows and nails done all in one place. I’m really looking forward to completing my apprenticeship and starting my journey into becoming a stylist.

Hi, I’m Charlotte!

I’ve been hairdressing for just over 20 years and still love helping people feel their best through great hair. I started my apprenticeship at East Surrey College while working in a salon in Oxted after leaving school. After qualifying, I gained experience in a few different salons before returning to the Oxted salon, where I spent the next 14 years.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to assist behind the scenes at London Fashion Week and work on photoshoots for the British Hairdressing Awards, which gave me some amazing experiences and inspiration.

My favourite part of the job is making clients feel confident and happy with their hair. I especially love creating beautiful highlights and colour, as well as cutting and styling – and you can’t beat a big, bouncy blow-dry!

These days, I’m also busy being mum to three primary school-aged children, so I currently work part-time. I’m really excited for this next chapter in my career and can’t wait to see where it leads.

Hi I’m Danielle, I’ve been qualified since 2017.

I trained at Halo as an apprentice with East Surrey College then went onto another salon in Oxted for 4 years where I was a colour specialist, I then came back to Halo in 2022 when Nadine took over the business.

In 2017 I assisted in London Fashion Week, and in 2020 I won an award for future talent of the year. I then went onto showcasing a model at the Fellowship for Hairdressing members night 2020 and showcased my work on the colour stage at Salon International in 2021. I have also finalised for the Revlon visionaries competition and colourist of the year for the Surrey and Kent salon awards in 2021 and 2022. I have also assisted multiple British hairdressing awards photo shoots and hairdressing events.

I am qualified in tape extensions and wefts and newly qualified in mesh integration systems. I have also completed a various range of extra courses over the years to widen my knowledge and keep me up to date on new trends and new techniques through the hair industry,

In May 2025 I completed my Loreal Colour Specialist Degree, launched in 1998 this prestigious program has grown to be the ultimate benchmark in the hairdressing industry setting the standard for expert colour knowledge and client experience.

Although I love every aspect of hairdressing I specialise in hair colouring services, and provide all services from full head tints to balayage and colour corrections, scalp bleaches and vivids, raising the bar in colour excellence for my clients.

My colour placement and knowledge of colour theory will give you the hair experience you won’t forget!

Hairdressing is a very personal thing and a journey you have with your client and enjoy together. I am consistent and authentic in my work and would love to do your hair! I want you to not only enjoy coming in for a visit but to feel confident about recreating your look at home!

Hi I’m Jade.

I joined Halo in 2015 as a Saturday girl and have been a stylist since 2019. My all time favourite service to do is colour, highlights or balayage and I’m in my element.

Being artistic I think is what makes me enjoy colour so much, I use my creative side to create my client’s beautiful hair day in and day out, and regularly give aftercare advice so they can maintain their look at home. I am continually looking for ways to further my knowledge and find new techniques and formulas.

I always like to make sure my clients are comfortable and fully understand each step of a process and talk them through as we go. I think this is a hugely important part of the job; first is to create beautiful hair but second is speaking to clients and making them feel at ease while in my chair.

My name is Michelle. I have over 19 years experience as a professional hairdresser and I love creating beautiful hair.

Hairdressing has been in the stars for me even as a little girl. I did an apprenticeship as soon as I left school and this gave me a great grounding and a taste for all aspects of hairdressing.
I entered many competitions in my teens and early 20’s in fashion hair up.
I have been privileged to be able to attend many course over the years to perfect my skills and keep up with current trends and techniques.

Hairdressing is an ever evolving industry which helps keep me excited and my passion for hairstyling alive.
In recent years my passion is cutting and colouring.
Both are so important in creating the perfect style and boosting my guests confidence. I always try and help my guests to understand the process from start to finish. I want people to feel confident in my work, feel safe and valued while with me.

While hairdressing is my life and passion my family is my world. At the moment I work part time enjoying both my career and spending as much time as I can with my kids while they are small.
I have been at Halo now for 14 years and it’s been a fantastic place to work. So grateful for “the Boss Lady” who’s is providing more great and exciting opportunities.
